I've got a member that is claiming she has received a virus from the private message feature on the forum. She claims the message pops up with another's username and the virus was in that private message. Is this possible? Do you have virus protection in place for the forums?

Its not possible. When you send a private message its just text. It cannot be executed on someones computer like a program. Who was the user?

The user was JuicyJulie - I didn't think it was possible and told her that she must have picked it up from somewhere else - Just wanted to check with you and make sure.

Nothing strange in her inbox. All look like simple private messages to me. It could be a virus on her computer or an over active anti-virus program.

Can you find out which pm it was and if she has updated her local antivirus program recently?
