Hi Padraic,

How do I set it up that I have to approve new members? Right now I have it set that no one can join, I would rather it be that people can join, but can not post until I give the OK.

I have set it up so that you can approve all members wishing to join before they can post. I've also turned on "Require registration" before they can view the board. This can be turned off if you want.

Hi Padraic,

I'd like the same thing, I think. Is it possible to approve members before they are allowed to view? I definitely want to approve before they post, but I'd really rather lock out people from even viewing it until I give the ok.

Not sure what information you'll need but:
Forum = You must be logged in to see this link.

Hello there. We are thinking about doing the same thing. Is our forum already updated to do this? We are in the process of trimming our dead memberships. We've gotten so large that we are in conference trying to decide if this is our next logical step.

Yes, you should be able to do this already. You have to set it up in the admin area.
