Is it still do able to not have to re-type in your password whenever you go to your profile?? The members on my forum love the upgrade but would like to have that feature back if it's do able??

Toodles,
Kathy

I'm afraid its not. Since the upgrade, passwords are encrypted when stored in the cookie the forum sets. For security reasons its not possible to de-encrypt the password in the cookie which also means that the password has to be entered when viewing the profile.

Users shouldn't have to edit their profile too often anyway.

Really good comments all around. Tho I'm having trouble with one gal's avatar. She tried to get it to load and I've tried several times to no avail. What do you think??

Her host doesn't allow hotlinking. You have to upload it to another website and link to it from there.

There are no buttons for adding a URL or Image with quick reply. You must use the code; e.g.
 (without spaces).

I meant, not on the quick reply but when you go to post to a topic using the old method. I can't get the bottons to work, when I click on them, says error in the area at the bottom of page.

Leigh's and my problem is that whatever I put in there nothing shows up. :(

Just resetting the server to complete some other work I was doing. It was only down for about 10 seconds.

I'm looking into your problem now.

Cannot find anything wrong with it. It works for me.

The code for the buttons is contained within *.js files which are linked to within the forum html. My guess is that you have cached copies of the js files from the old version. I suggest that you try the following;

1. Hold CTRL, SHIFT together and refresh the page.
2. If that doesn't work, clear out your temporary internet files.

If they don't work, let me know.

What browser are you using?

Do you know if you are going through a proxy server?
