I have added a bunch of forum sections and was wondering how I can make it so only certain members are allowed to view them

for instance: when members sign up can I place them in a group that is allowed to view certain sections on the forums?

if so how do I do that

and how do I set some other members of the forums as moderators

ok I figured out how to make members moderators from the FAQ section

but now I need to know how to make the category sections I have available for members to view

is there a way to set is so that you can add memebers to a certain group and then set that group so they can view certain categories on the forums

if not how do I set it so memebrs can view all forums/sections

At the moment you cannot add members to a group but you can give individual members access to private area of a forum.

This should help - You must be logged in to see this link.

There are other options, not just Password Protection as demonstrated above.
