Has there been a problem logging onto forums ? For the last hour everytime I've tried to logon to the Derby RFC forum the message saying 'thankyou for logging on' came up but then looking at members online it showed 'none' and I could not post.
In the last minute things have now righted themselves and I can now logon.
Cheers,
Brian

Definitely happened to me, I've just tried it again - message says that you've logged on but Forum shows no members online. As I logon to the Forum everyday I'm assuming that my computer is ok.
Currently here in the UK my PC says that it's 00:09hrs 21st September 2005. |

Padraic,
I've just tried rebooting the PC and tried to go onto the Forum but it's still showing no members online despite saying that I have logged on successfully.
Hope you can help.
Cheers,
Brian

Your forum is showing you as a guest which means that you are not logged in. This forum is running the exect same code as yours so its not a software problem on our end (you can login here).
Are you running a firewall which is blocking the cookie? Is Internet Explorer or whatever browser you are using blocking the cookie?
You're using some strange javascript to redirect to the forum on your homepage. Does the problem happen if you try it by going here directly? You must be logged in to see this link. |

I've just tried the direct link that you've put in your post and I can logon ok to the Forum.
What do you think I need to do to sort it so that I can logon as normal ?

Padraic,
I think I've sorted it now from my end - I've made the forum web address a trusted site with Internet Explorer and once I did that I can now logon to the Forum ok.
I'd assumed that the problem was at your end from the earlier posts but all now seems well.
Thanks for the quick responses
Cheers,
Brian
