Due to the ongoing increase in traffic and stress being placed on the database server I have to implement some changes over the weekend.

I have already made the necessary changes to the forum code and haven't seen any problems. All that remains is to do the database stuff which is a little trickier. In the event of something going wrong I will backup all forums immediately prior to making any changes so nothing can be lost. To put your mind at ease, this forum has already been moved over and you didn't even notice.

If you have any questions or notice anything strange, please post in this thread only.

I'm beginning to think that there may have to be some downtime to get this completed. It will take forever if the forums are live at the same time.

Just to keep you all updated. I'm deleting free forums without posts in the last three months in order to increase resources on the database server. This should speed the upgrade process and 95% of them were never going to be used anyway.

If you were still using the forum and would like it back it can be done. All you have to do is post you url here e.g. You must be logged in to see this link.
