Hi, Padriac!
Using the old format, I could mark that I wanted to know when someone had replied to my topic. That feature is missing now. Hardly anyone is posting now, so hopefully re-installing that feature will fix that?

I made the changes per your instructions. I selected "subscribe to topic" as the feature. Then, I tested it and only had the options listed below:
"Check here to include your profile signature. Check here to lock the topic after this post."
So, I must need to do something else?

If you are already subscribed to the board or to the forum then it won't show.
I get these three;
Check here to include your profile signature. Check here to subscribe to this topic. Check here to lock the topic after this post.

Is there anyway to change this. It seems to make a really big difference in how often people return (me included) to the forum. Otherwise it's so easy to forget. I don't want to have to ask all my subscribers to re-subscribe? Or, don't want to re-subscribe 50 subscribers.
Am I understanding correctly? |

There are three types of subscription.
Subscribe to whole board Subscribe to one or more individual forums Subscribe to a topic
If you are already subscribed to a whole board (or to that forum) it won't show the "subscribe to topic" when you post because you will already receive an notification because of being subscribed to all posts on the board.
If you allow (at the very minimum) "Subscribe to Topic" on all the forums on your board users will get the "Check here to subscribe to this topic." if they don't have a higher level subscription. (Otherwise they would get two or three notifications of each post). |

Hi, Padriac!
Thanks for your patience.
Okay, if I'm understanding correctly . . . with the new format, I should get notification any time someone posts . . . if I am subscribed to the forum, which it shows that I am.
But, I'm not getting any notifications when people post. I don't think others are either?
Isn't change fun? |

Its working now. You should have gotten at least one email from a post I did on your board.
It was working for normal users when they subscribe to a topic but not for admins. I knew it was working on this board because I get emails everytime someone posts.
In order to get it working, I had to set "Category Subscriptions allowed" for each category and "Forum Subscriptions Allowed" for each forum. It set it up on your board that way for every forum apart from the Queens Network one.
Let me know if there are still problems. |
