Hi again,

It appears that as an Administrator I cannot send e-mails to the members via the forum's software. Is that correct? Is there any way to change that?

Thank you,
Lady RV

Only one administrator can. In your case it is the user montanaadministrator.

Thank you...and shoot!

Is there a way for the montanaadministrator and another admin to share the same e-mail address in their profile? The e-mails used to come to me when something bounced back, etc. The Montana Administrator does not over see the daily running of the forum, in fact rarely even logs on. We really need it to be that way again. Meaning the e-mails go by default to MontanaOwners2@aol.com Any suggestions?

You can set the sending email address in the Email Server Config (this will affect welcome emails, forgot password, etc.).

Only the original admin can email all members. Responses could go to another address. I think you may also be able to set the return address when emailing your members but I will have to check that.

Everyone needs to be told when they are doing a superb job.

I have a question regarding polls. What do I need to do so that a poll is set up but no dialog/replies are allowed?

Again thank you,
Lady RV

I am getting a massive amount of e-mail from the Mail Demon etc. It includes the address of the undeliverable mail but not the User Name. Is there a way besides going through almost 2000 User Names to find out who these addresses belong to, so that we can trim our membership of inactive members?

I imagine your offline as it must be the middle of the night there now. I'll check in tomorrow.

Thank you.

Still up. ZZZzzzz.......

I noticed the emails going out and the list of returned mails.

I can delete those with zero posts for you who have signed up over a month ago. Would that help?

Padriac,

Gosh guy, you really don't get any sleep.

You don't need to bother with deleting those with zero posts. We were going to do that anyway, or at least people who have not visited in over six months. The MODs keep a data base of User Names and where they are from. I will need to report to them each User Name that is being deleted and where they are from. I was just hoping there was a way to cross reference. At least with this new software, memberships don't get activated with bad e-mail addresses and therefore don't end up on our Member List.

Now, go get some sleep. It's another big day tomorrow.

As always thank you for all you do,
Lady RV

Do me a favour. Don't email your members for a while. I think it may have caused a problem.
I'll know more tomorrow.

Padriac,

I won't e-mail them again. I generally don't. You are referring to the massive e-mail as an Admin right? If not I will shut off the e-mail option for all in the control panel if you would like.

I hope I didn't cause you any extra work.

Lady RV
