I enabled stickies in the admin area for you when I upgraded it because I knew you wanted them.
Announcements aren't in the new version. You can do the same thing with a sticky topic.

I'm not sure about the background. I'll have to check.

I'm trying not to have the title of the forum people are in show up. I just want the thread title to show up, not sure how I find that?? Is it in the Syndication Link Builder area?? So many questions..so little time! lol

Syndication is for having the 10 most active topics show up on your website.
