Most every time (now every time) I hit submit to go to any profile, I get the window just sitting there. I finally have to "x" it out and do something else. Actually most windows either sometimes work or do not work with me. When I hit "preview" for this, it just sat there looking at me through a blank window.
I run an older Netscape browser 4.79 PentIII 600 almost 400 of RAM Win 98 and Comcast cable connection.
Help.
Thanks

Netscape 4.7 is known to be one of the buggiest browsers ever made.

Consider using Opera You must be logged in to see this link. or Internet Explorer.

Opera is considered to be the fastest browser on earth and its free.

That was it ! I downloaded Opera and it is FAST and all the windows pop right up. I did have to change the popup window color at first, but now it's fine. Thanks

Sorry to bump an old thread - but am having a similar problem.

After submiting the redirection takes me back to an almost empty page - (just with the header and footer on - ie my forum logo in top left, top right links and the end forum description.)

I'm using IE v6, on Windows XP (HE)

I've had it happen to me once or twice, exactly the same thing.

It never remained a problem, it was very rare but I have never found out the cause.

Try clicking on the name of the forum (top left) and see if your message was posted.

My guess is that it will be there. If it persists or if you find out the cause (or solution), let me know.

The same thing has been happening to me lately too. I don't have an explanation, but I can confirm that the posts have appeared okay. It's just an inconvenience, but I'd be interested to read of a fix too, if anyone has one.

The same thing has been happening to me since I started. Haven't been able to find out why. The posts always appear okay, and the clicking of the Forum name works.
It's not a major problem - just as Jan says inconvenient and time consuming.

(As a sidenote - it doesn't happen on this board - if that helps find a fix at all)

I always suspected that its the fault of a dodgy proxy server between the user and the server.

Out of interest what browser are you using?

Browser is IE 6 (SP1)
ISP is AOL and that might be the problem I guess (talking of dodgy)

Although just thought I'd try a few things. Turned off Norton Internet Security and the redirection worked fine on my forum. However would prefer not to have that switched off, and also strange that it would work with this board whether NIS is enabled or not.

Ask them to add our i.p. to their proxy's no-cache list - 66.194.38.62 and domain if possible.
