You are correct, that username does not work with that password; I tried it. So, either you made a mistake in giving him the new password, or how it was structured (caps-lower case, etc.)
You can go back and change the information for his account (username) or do the below:
First, if I was you, I'd copy the URL to the login page and email it to him. Second, I'd have him use the "Forgot Your Password" link option on the login page. (It's right under the "Username" block area on the page.) Have him follow through with that to set his own password.
So, you can either redo the password for him, or you can see if he can go to the page, and follow through with the process he needs to be able to sign back in; in doing so he can change his password back to whatever he wants it to be.
Remember passwords are case sensitive. Make sure he understands that.

P. S. Be sure one of you changes the password you posted above. Don't use it. There are too many members of this support form that will take over his account and post all kinds of stuff on your forum; stuff that you don't want.
THEN edit your post above, removing the actual user name of "andy" and that password you posted.
Don't forget you can P.M. a moderator for this type of help. Never post yours, or a member's password, on this open forum.

What does it show you logged in as, as a member, or as the admin? Is it possible you actually changed your own password (not his); or is it that the system is waiting on a confirmation letter reply from him? These above questions, I can't answer without having your admin username and password. To be able to help you with this requires abmin powers of your forum, or a ForumCo Admin. Sorry, I'm just a support moderator.
I see nothing wrong with your forum. However, I'm not a member and see no need to join; it would do me no good (or you) to view it as a member level.
Clear your computer's history, and make sure you are not seeing an old page your browser has stored. |
