Our forum You must be logged in to see this link. has become very slow. It does seem to vary but it has been extremely slow today. Is there anything we can do and is it caused by our message board becoming too large?

I'm currently doing maintenance.

I'm beginning to think that the problem is mainly on the forum.asp page. Which pages are slow for you ?

I think the problem was caused by a connection limit. Doubled the limit and it seems to have improved.

Made a change to forum.asp that should speed it up considerably. GoldThumb, you could increase performance if you didn't have so many forums. Those forums in teh members section will add a few seconds to the main page load time.

Thanks padraic for the changes and your help. It does seem a lot faster now although as I mentioned it varies so I will continue to monitor it and will consider consolidating some of the forums if I feel it still seems slow at times.

I'm making some more changes to forum.asp but they will require testing before implementation (a few days).
