I may have posted earler to the wrong forum.
I'm on a msntv unit, no computer. My problem is logging on the administration page. I can only type in the user name and password. I get an error message everytime. If this can't be fixed for msntv can I go to my Son's house and log on and finish setting up the site, or should I cancel this forum and try it again on his computer?

Ed,
I myself, not being handicapped by only having use of MSNTV, may not be able to give you the correct advice you need. But, you might try having your son login as you. If he is able to do so, then your problem is not with your system’s limitations.

Did you receive the “confirmation email”; and follow its instructions to confirm the new forum and your membership?

Were you able to actually set the forum up?

After you type in your username and password, are you able to click the “Login” option? (Sorry, I really don’t know how the “TV” service options are provided with your system.) You must be able to click the “Login” or use the “Enter” options of the forum after the information required is entered in the spaces provided.

If all above went well for you, are you sure you are entering the exact username and password you chose for your new forum? Remember the username and password are case sensitive; and that both must be as you originally chose at the time you created the forum. (You can, after getting logged in, change everything except your username by editing your profile.)

By the way, either forum is okay for use in your request for help; it makes no difference.

Post back, if you are still needing help.

Ed,
does your system not have an option allowing you to click on the "Admin Options" section, or allow you to click on any one of the tools (icons on the right of your categories, forums, etc.)?
You are going to need to be able to do these things in-order to customize your forum (and sub-forums).

As I said, I've never used one of the TV type systems before. And I really don't know what you have to work with in options. I thought those systems were only for surfing the Internet; and interacting by using email options only. But, if you were able to get a forum by going through the process, then I would think you should also have the capabilities to maneuver around within your forum for setting it up as you would like for it to be.

Post your forum's URL.

Hey,Thanks for the replies. You can do a lot mor than e-mails with webtv units. I am learning more everyday but you are somewhat limited as you have no mouse and can't read pdf's and a few other things. But I've seen some web users do almost as much as pc users.
My main problem was I couldn't get logged back on after I got the setup e-mail. I went over to y sons house this morning and got logged on ok and we worked on the forum enough to get it working. I haven't tried it yet as I've just gotten home.
I'll probally have a lot more questions as I go.lol so be ready.
