I have activated board level subscriptions and subscribed accordingly but I get no email notification when a member posts to my board. Can you help?
Thanks You, N4FPS

Do these two things first: 1. Be sure you have allowed subscriptions in (at) the category level. 2. You also have to allow subscriptions within the (each) sub-forum’s properties.
Both of these settings are found by clicking the option to edit them; (the pencil icon on the right side of the line with their names on it.)
These setting are not done from/or within the “Admin Options”, of your main forum. They are done by using the “Pencil” icons, located on the right of the categories, and on each forum you wish to allow subscriptions in.
You can not enable the forum, so as to allow subscriptions, unless you also allow them at the higher level as well; of its category.
After you have done so, you’ll see a new icon on the far right (of the name of the sub-forum). Clicking it will allow you to receive subscriptions to that forum, etc.
Hope this helps,

Thank you, I have done all this but the emails don't come. Any other ideas?
Thanks, N4FPS |

After you set the properties to allow subscriptions, did you click on each “New” icon that appeared, and subscribe to the forums you wanted to receive email notices of new post on?
Also, did you make sure you submitted the change to each area's properties? (If the new icons did not appear for you on the right of the sub-forms, the option to subscribe to the forums is not enabled.) |

Yes the Icons did appear on the right of the sub-forms and I did sub-scribe but no luck.
Thank you. |

It would appear that you have done all things needed for you to receive notices of post on the forums that you want to receive them on. From here, my input is only a guess on why you are not getting the emails.
However, check this:
1. While logged in, on the upper right of the main entry page is an option named “My Subscriptions”; click it and see if it is showing what forums (Topics, etc) you have subscribed to. (if you don’t see them, then something else is wrong?)
2. Also make sure that your ISP (Internet Service) is not throwing the emails into a SPAM or Junk folder? This can, and does happen, sometimes with emails from different websites (ForumCo included).
Post your Forum’s URL, within a post, maybe I’ll see something else that might help you.
Beyond the above suggestions, it may take a ForumCo Admin to help figure out what’s up? It could be a "Bug" or glitch to do with the program; of which I have no allowed access to find or correct.
Please post back, and let me know the forum's URL, and how it is going on this problem.

Okay! Maybe I've found out what the problem is.
I kept thinking that I'd had this subject come up before. Please see this topic (URL below). It just may be that when you are the Admin, that you will not receive email notices about new post?

OK RUlmer then that's the problem. It seems a little odd that that is the case but I really appreciate you finding the answer. I guess that I could register under another name as a regular user to try and see if I can get the emails.
Thanks again and I'll let you know how it turns out.

I appreciate all the help. It is true that you will not receive emails notifications as an ADMIN. I just registered as a regular member also and now I get the emails. Strange but true. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the feed back. And I'm sorry I didn't remember the Admin not receiving post notifications earlier.
Good luck with your forum,
