Our members are having trouble posting after registering....
They are not being able to complete the process and being told to try re-registering, then they try and it says the user name is taken... Even after I activate them, they still show as "guests"...
All appearances show that they are registered...

First off, sorry but you should not have activated them right at first; you should have let them follow through with the registration by confirmation. By default, they would have received an email asking for them to confirm they are who they say they are, and that they wanted to confirm their registration.
I suspect they now are entering either the wrong password or username they originally tied into their email address when attempting to register before you activated them.
Try this: Edit the member’s profile, giving them a new password. Send that new password to them by email. Have them log in using the password you gave them. (Then they can, should they wish to do so, edit their profile and change their password to whatever).
Be aware, when they edit their password, they are going to get another email from the program asking them to confirm they want the password changed. They won’t receive such when you change it as the Admin.
The key to registering on the forums without problems is following the instructions. However, many times new people registering do not get the confirmation email because it gets sent to their SPAM folder of their email program. But, most times it is just that the registering person does not follow through with the confirmation.
The Admin approving a registering person should be the last thing tried, only when nothing else has worked and the two persons, the forum’s Admin and new member “want to be”, have talked (emailed) each other about the “confirmation email”. Only then should the Admin activate a person’s membership.
Try straightening this out by just giving the person a new password, as I mentioned above.
Hope this helps?
