Free forums with no posts since 31 December 2006 are being automatically cancelled at the moment. In the unlikely event that your free forum has been cancelled and you wish to have it "un-cancelled" you should contact us as soon as possible as we may be able to restore it from a backup.
These forums will be deleted completely by 30 April 2008.
16121 free forums have been auto cancelled. In view of the fact that the vast majority of these forums had only 1 post (or none at all) and were never used I will start deleting them over the weekend.
Because so many free forums were not active I am going to implement an automatic system to delete forums that have no posts in 18 months. In order to avoid getting your forum deleted you should post a thread or reply at least once a year. This does not apply to paid forums.
There will be downtime sometime in the next day or two in order to complete a hardware upgrade on the new server. I'll post more info when I have a better idea of what time the upgrade will be done.
Some optimisations are being carried out on the new db server at the moment so users may experience some slowness today. Its not known how long it will take to complete but it should be a few hours.
No news on the downtime due to hardware upgrades yet.
Hardware has been installed as planned. Backups are being performed at the moment so there may be a little slowness. This should be completed within the hour.
