The original single admin of our board is handing over the job to two co-admins (I am one). The admin wants to stay a user of the board and keep his account but change from admin to standard user.

Is there a way of doing this? He can't find a way to 'demote' himself and the other admins can't edit his profile.

Thanks

You cannot demote the superadmin. He would have to register as another user.

Thanks Padraic I assumed that must be the case. He can re-register with a very similar name and set it up to look the same as the old one. We'll just keep the superadmin account unused since we don't need the extra powers.

Cheers

Allan

They can change the email address associated with the account if they want to pass it on to another admin.

I've changed the email address to one shared by the two new admins and removed the original admin from the moderator list.

Once the old admin re-registers we can remove most of the profile information from the old account and disable "Allow emails". I guess that's as far as we can go to 'hide' the account.

There are some features only available to superadmins i.e. emailing all members.
