My forum "You must be logged in to see this link." is missing ALL posts, threads, and forums. I had thousands of posts that all seem to be gone. Please look into this for me as soon as possible.

There is a security issue which was announced a few hours ago. I patched the forum but it appears not to have been successful. There should be backups. I'll let you know.

It seems as if everything is still there but the active topics page cannot be accessed. When I click on an email link the topic shows up, I can post and have the post accepted. When I link from the webpage the default home page of the forum shows up. But active topics ... Nah!

The problam is with the active topics page, thats why it has been disabled.

All the posts are gone from You must be logged in to see this link.

There are backups but I cannot access them for a while (they are behind a firewall). I'll let you know the exact story later but you are looking at losing at least some topics. At the very minimum there should be a usable backup for a date in mid-November.

I believe the date of backup for your forum is 17th November 2007 though I cannot verify it until later. If there is a more recent one I will use it.

I'm in the process of restoring the database. Is it just the categories, forums and topics that are missing ? I noticed that the members are still there.

I have no idea how long it will take. The database in question is 18 GB in size so it may take a few hours before I can restore any posts on your forum.

Its no problem. I wish I had a more recent backup than November 17th but for some forums its impossible to back them up daily because of the sheer size of them. I'll keep you posted.

The database is about 2/3 restored at the moment. Once it is restored I should be able to copy over the topics. That will probably take a few hours also.
