Hi again, is there anyway to get the statistics back on the top of the forum?

I also would like to combine some categories/forums and wonder if there is anyway to move archived topics? These are not large categories/forums but we are trying to streamline.

Isn't there a way to prevent members from deleted their posts and threads?

Lady RV

Stats are back on top.

If you edit an archived topic you may be able to move it into another forum. Pretty sure that should work.

Members cannot be prevented from deleting their posts and threads. You always have to allow edits in case of mistakes so they can "blank" a post. If someone has replied to a post then the thread cannot be deleted by the original poster unless they are an admin.

What exactly is the problem you're trying to solve?

This is the error message I get when I try to edit or move an archived thread.

quote:
ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd'

Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

/post_info.asp, line 506

We have very good members so the need for the no delete is not as important but in my past life on another forum, it was not allowed so that when someone messed up or was not polite, etc then we had proof of the action...hard to explain but it was useful for the deletion not to be able to be used by the members...they could always edit but not delete.

Thanks Lady RV
