- Ability to post a video within a topic.
- user definable poster frame
- Support for widths up to 480 (widescreen)
- An option for the user to enter how large (textMB) the movie is - ever sat there just waiting for a movie to load? Wondering if it ever will?
- a link to your local PCs file associations (if one player is proving troublesome, or is set wrong, the user can try another)
- Sub-forums
- the ability for the administrator to name the sub-forums box
- the ability for a user to set his first post as a sticky
- the ability to switch on/off the regular forums or sub-forums within a category thus leaving only forums or sub-forums running - I've seen forums with both running and it can be a little confusing
- Auto-moderation
- the first poster (creating a sub-forum) automatically becomes a local moderator
- the ability of the user to change the background color to complement the movie / other images they post
That'll keep you busy.

Got another one:
- Allowing forum admins to upload a background picture rather than just a color. This could be something subtle that tiles across the page - a grid for example
And by specifying a limit to the file size, you'd avoid huge uploads, and encourage creative tiling .
There's an example here: You must be logged in to see this link. which is made up of lots of these:

My bad. Thanks.
Hey, they changed that background image from a little square to a vertical bar. Oh, I see - it changes tone on the way down. Clever.
Any thoughts on my first post in this thread?
Oh, and any progress on myfilm.forumco? |

It will take a little while to respond to the first post but some of it already is possible.
I know I sent you the welcome email for myfilm.forumco.com already. Hang on until I see if I can find it again. |

I never got that first mail
I've sent you a mail now, but have a look at the pm you sent me and you'll see an error in the url. Just thought you'd want to know. |

I got the 'your forum has been set up' page, but when I click on the link I get the 'this forum has been reserved' page.
I've got a decent background going now on ukfilm. Such a shame we're limited to 218 web colors - I'd have prefered using grays that were a bit closer in tone.
Or wait a minute. Am i wrong in that? I'm always using the 218 'web safe' colors, which is all that html allows. But are more colors possible here on this forum? Or will they always default to the nearest of the 218 when within a browser?
