I can see the post topic link but cant seem to fing the post poll link anywhere. i have turned on poll with admin account. Can anyone tell me how to post one please?

You have to allow polls on a forum (as well as a board) level.

Goto the main page of your board.
Edit a forum on your board by clicking the pencil icon to the right of it.
From the dropdown choose an option (see below)

8am to 5pm GMT Weekdays are the best for response times. There can be up to 24 hours delay at the weekend.
