Just found an interesting thing. To my knowledge we, as administrators have no access to the passwords generated for members? How come then (on the registration page) joining members are advised to email us if they've lost their p/w?? Are we just supposed to refer them to the Lost password link or do we have some other method of dealing with this?
Okay Richard - can you provide me with a bit more info on this one - how do I go about accessing passwords and/or changing them? Haven't seen anything related to this on the FAQ - or am I missing it perhaps.
Goto the members page. On the right click the pencil icon to edit the member in question. You may enter a new password for the member when editing their profile. Email them the new password to gain access.
Also, they will be automatically given a new password if their email address is changed.
Thanks - got that one sorted. Just surprised as I'd checked in there before, but for some reason at the time couldn't find a P/W for the member in question who'd had a problem registering. But I think I've sorted her out now hopefully.
