Hi Padraic,
In another thread you mentioned something about giving refunds. Thanks but no thanks. I don't want a refund from you. I know you broke your back to get us back up, and other then this last week or so, the forum has been as good as gold. We would be hard pressed to find better customer service anywhere on the net.
So, keep the refund, and have a drink, relax...look at porn on the net...whatever.

I'd welcome some kind of refund if only as a token acknowledgement of the lack of service over the past couple of weeks. I only recently set up my forum & put a lot of time into marketing it to people, since I did that it has hardly been available at all and I feel that a lot of my effort has been wasted.
I know how much hard work is going into fixing this problem, but this is a business arrangement and at the moment the service I paid for isn't being delivered.

I completely agree with Sheila.
I too have worked very hard to promote my forum and it has been unavailable for almost as long as it has been available! The community of people I have built are not going to return now and I have lost valuable interest.
It is a basic consumer right to be refunded for a service that hasnt been delivered and, as such, we all should be. I realise that the problem was unexpected and that hard work has been put in to correct it, but thats irrelevant to the issue of refund. |

Hi all,
I can understand the newer folks wanting a refund. I was just speaking for myself. I've been using forumco for over a year now, and this is the first major problem we have faced. I also had a 'free' forum for a while so I look at it as this makes up for that.
All the best,
BIG Sean

Worst case scenario. I'm in the final stages of copying over the data (in excess of 6-7 Gigabytes). I already have the server for the main website and am waiting on the database one (should be ready tomorrow). Installation of software, attaching the databases etc. could take Sunday and possibly Monday.
Believe me I'm doing it as fast as I can.

| Thanks Padraic for the update. I'm sure you are doing your best. If it's frustrating for us. It certainly is more so for you! |

Big Sean Madigan sentiments are the same as my own. I know it's frustrating and disappointing to discover your Forum is down (mine is too, of course) but there's nothing we can do about it except wait for Padraic to finish his work on remedying the situation.
We are at least being informed of what's happening. My last Website host simply pulled the plug and ceased providing any service with no warning and no explanation. Padraic (whom I've never met, but from whose posts on these boards I feel is trustworthy and genuine) is moving to get the job done. Let's allow him to get on with it. |
