1. I'm an administrator on a forumco forum, but don't have all the functionality of the user who set the forums up. The functions missing are the email all user option in the admin area. I also can't move any posts by this user - I get a message telling me an admin user needs to move the thread.
2. The original user has subsequently left the forum and the other administrators would like to create a new forum and move all the posts. Is this possible?
3. Can a moderator be empowered to set up forum topics or is this restricted purely to the administrators.
1. Both of those functions are like that by design. 2. I cannot move posts between forums. I could email the administrator and see if they wish to transfer ownership. 3. Anyone can start a topic unless a forum is locked (like the announcements forum on this board)
Thanks for your reply it is appreciated. What I'd like to do with the forum is have the ownership as the club we belong to. The forum is porka924.
I think I didn't put my third question quite right. What I need to know is the actual topic headings e.g. the overall section as in your Members helping Members.
The first user on a forum is a superadmin who has slightly more powers than a regular admin. You shouldn't need to create a new forum on the board very often, just don't have too many admins and only make users you trust completely an admin.
I've emailed the owner and am awaiting a response.
