hi. thanks for looking.

i'm an adminstrator from You must be logged in to see this link.

a few days ago, the entire forum was wiped i.e. all topics and all sections in the forum etc just disappeared.

i have no idea whether it was done by an admin or just a plain glitch or we broke any of the terms. i am posting here hoping that some admin will read this and help to recover the contents of the forum.

It wasn't deleted for temrs of service abuse. It would have been upgraded during the week. Some forums failed to upgrade due to their size. Yours is pretty large at 41MB

I can restore from a backup of 10 Sep 2005 immediately if you wish ? You will lose any topics since that date.

i guess we will just have to make do with 10 sep 2005 recovery. thanks a lot for the prompt reply.

oh another thing ... some of my members complained that their forum accounts were deleted. is it due to the same reason?

Yes. Their member accounts would have been gone too.

I'll start doing it straight away. I'll let you know when I'm finished.

The upgrade it to increase performance / backups times, etc.

I am going to have to upgrade it manually or it could happen again. It will take about 30 minutes - 1 hour.
The good news is that the backup worked 100%.

Let me know if something isn't working.

Don't leave it so long the next time before reporting a problem. We can only keep backups for so long due to their size.
