In the last 48 hours I have had a member join one of my forums and another member join another of my forums (here at ForumCo). They use different names, but neither gave any info whatsoever except that one gave this URL as their home page:

You must be logged in to see this link.

and the other gave the first of these as his home page and the other two as "cool links":

You must be logged in to see this link. (edited by admin)

I am suspicious of this, haven't been spammed yet, but I wanted to give you the info in case anyone else finds this kind of member profile suddenly popping up ..... Tried to contact them to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no answer with either profile, so I'll delete them as a preemptive measure.

Oh boy, after typing in the above post I immediately went back to my forum and in just that few minutes, another new member had joined, same thing, no info at all but THREE NEW GAMBLING URLS!!!!

p.s.:
Padriac, what does it mean to "lock" a member? Can't find that explained....

Fixed. All people registering have to enter a random code which only humans can read.

Thanks:).

How irritating and shame on 'them' that we have to do something like that to protect our forums.
