When signing up for my free board, I didn't realize that the topic I chose to subscribe to would create the category of ads at the top of the forum. I thought it was for email I would receive from Forumco affiliates. I chose "webmaster" as my subscription, but my forum is for wedding discussions. I would like to change the ads category. Any way to do this?

We don't send email to forum owners (only when you signup first).

The ads are targetted by Google (and is outside our control). The only reason we are able to offer free forums again is because of the revenue from these targetted ads. The majority of free forums providers now use Google ads to support them. The only way to to pay to have them removed, sorry.

Don't mind the ads - just minded the incongruent content. But, no worries now. I've been up and running less than a day and Google must have already gleaned my content. The ads streamed in this morning are very wedding specific and are most in line with my topics. I feel better now.
Thx!

If you go to your profile and by your name state '' User Name''
normal can't you change this name, can you focus/instal(don't know how you say in english) that yourself can change this name?

"No admins cannot change another username"

But you can in a paid forum. I've done it several times.

Or at least i used to be able to till Paypal pulled the plug... You must be logged in to see this link.

You cannot change a member username even in a paid forum. You can only change the member title.
