This is my first time setting up a forum (stat.forumco.com). I invited a few people to register in order to test and the first few registered ok, but others started going into Members Pending. Somewhere during this I was making changes in the Admin Section and maybe changed something, but I can't figure out what. It's probably really obvious... but I can't work it out! Cany you help? I don't want to have to verify members because there may be a LOT of them.

Also, is it possible to get notification when someone registers?

I will require members to register their full names as well as their usernames. Some have asked if they can still stay anonymous... is it possible for them to hide their profiles from other users?

They cannot hide their profiles. They can hide their email addresses though. Even though someone registers with a name, there is no way to be sure that it is in fact that person.


To turn off the approval of members accounts;

Goto the Admin Area.
Click E-mail Server Configuration
Set Restrict Registration to Off
Click submit.

Thanks for this. Is it possible to get a notification (email) when a new person registers?
