Is it possible for the admin to change their username? I just made another Forum, and I didn't want that to be my username, if possible I'd like my username to be ItalianStallio, here is the site...

| Why is it then that when you go to edit a users profile, you can change their user name? The one time I did it, it messed up the users access to the forum. If we aren't supposed to change it shouldn't that field not be changeable? |

First you say, "Usernames cannot be changed."
Then you say, "You are supposed to be able to edit it. It doesn't "mess up" a users access to the forum, they will obviously have to use the new username (and old password) to login."
Which is it? Can you change/edit a user name? |

If you look at the date of the first post (its 18 months old) it should be evident that this feature was added afterwards.
Generally, yes you can edit a normal members or moderators username if you are an admin. You cannot however change the superadmin username. |

No problem. At least you searched the forum (which a lot of people don't do).
There are permissions built in i.e. normal admins cannot edit other admins however superadmins can edit other admins. Its complicated but you should be able to do what you want. |
