Hello. A friend added a birthday sound to a post on another forumco forum, but I think it was one that wasn't upgraded because it was html code. I have html turned off of course because I wanted to allow images, but I wondered if there was a way to post sounds. I have a midi uploaded, and I could probably find the html code, but do I need ubb code? I haven't found a lot of sources.
This where my sound is uploaded. I just wanted to add it to a birthday post in the background. Thanks as always for your help.

Bev

You would need to turn on html on your forum before you can post sounds. Your forum already supports this.

Html allows you to post images also, just include the relevant html code.

Oh I was under the impression that if html was on it wouldn't allow sigs/images. When I set up the forum after the upgrade it gave the option of allow images, and I had forum code off...and html on, but it said that forum code had to be on to allow images?

If I turn html on and forum code off...will the images that have already been posted still show up..or just the code? Stupid question I know...

Not a stupid question.

Images can be included in html by using html code e.g. You must be logged in to see this link.

Allowing html will render the old forum code as

For security reasons it is not advisable to allow html on your board which does not solve your problem. I'll have to see if I can figure out a way to allow midi files.
