Thank you for the upgrade, Padraic, I think we've got things smoothed out now.
However, (and I realise this is being picky) we are missing some icons which makes the screen look rather messy:

Thanks Padraic.
I can't find any missing icons now, so the ones you couldn't find must use the same gifs as others. I think we have everything straightened out now.
Have a good evening. |

I noticed the discussion on flood control. Don't set it any less than 30 seconds. It prevents script & dos attacks.
There are a few things there that you shouldn't touch either unless you know what you're doing. If in doubt, ask. |

OK then, 30 seconds it is!
Now, we have identified another problem. My co-admin, Noel, can't access her profile. When I went to the Members' list, I can't either. There are no controls at all to the left of her entry. I'm wondering if the ASCII character in her name is a factor.
Here's what happens when Noel tries to access her own profile:
I click on "profile" "User Profile" comes up and I log in. then "Member Login" comes up and I log in there. I get a screen that says "Login Successful" then another that says: Invalid UserName or Password Go Back To Retry
When you have a moment, would you check it out for me and suggest a possible fix?
Noel's entry is the 3rd one down on our Members' list. |

Admin's cannot edit their profile from the members page (no controls appear on the right of the member).
For an admin to edit their profile (top right), click on profile. They will have to enter their password to continue. Profile page comes up with editable fields.
Thats what should happen.
Can you arrange a screenshot of the "Member Login" page above?
The problem might lie in the fact that your passwords are now encrypted in the cookies. Ask Noél to clear out any ForumCo cookies and login again.

Here's the members' list Padraic:

I have circled Noel's lack of icons! You can see there is an edit icon against my entry; is this because I'm logged on as me? I was previously able to edit Noel's profile from here, so is this a feature of the upgrade?
I will get her to delete her cookies and supply me with a screenshot of what she's seeing. She's on Pacific Time, so she's not up yet! |

OK, Noel cleared her cookies and cache, and tried again. Here's the sequence of events:
1. She logged off the internet and then accessed IE6 again and, of course, got the log in screen:

She logged in successfully:

She then clicked on Profile and was asked for her login and password:

It then takes her back to this screen, so she logs in again:

She gets the assurance message:

It then jumps immediately to this screen, without giving Noel access to her Profile:

I am not having the same conditions; I can access and amend my own Profile. |

If the cookie was set properly it should have appeared in the username box after she clicked on profile. My guess is that something is blocking it. Usually this would be Internet Explorer or a firewall although it could be that Noel has the wrong date and time set on her computer.
Ask her to respond here. |
