We are trying to hide the names of the moderators for the forums and I can't get that feature to work in the control panel. Both myself and my C0-Admin tried and it's just not changing. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you in advance,
Lady RV

| I am not an admin or mod on this board, but you could just assign them as mods without assining them to a specific board, they woul dhave mod features on all of your forums, then their name as a mod would not show up. |

A suggestion too. You could use one mod nick for everyone. All the mods would need the password. This works if you totally trust your mods. |

I am not trying to change their User Names or title. Title meaning Moderator correct?
What we don't want is for the Moderator names to show on the main forum page.
Moderators have no privileges if you don't assign them to a category/specific forum correct?
Thank you Padraic! |

Two options for you.
1. If you trust them make them an admin. They can do anything they want without being listed on the main page.
2. Make a generic account called "Moderator", make it a moderator and give them the password so that they can login to do moderator stuff with it and keep their old accounts to post.

Thank you for getting back to me Padraic,
Either of those aren't really practical options for us.
So are you saying that the in the "Feature Configuration" the fourth option down from the top "Show Moderators" doesn't work?
Our members are having some problems with e-mail too. They don't seem to be getting their passwords, and the few e-mails I have sent out individually via the forum haven't been answered.

It does if you are not logged in as an admin. Try logging out to see what normal users see.
I have opened an email incident with our provider to see if there is something wrong with the email server. More news as I get it. |

Padraic,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am rarely signed in under my regular User Name so I hadn't noticed.
Two of our Mods are mentioning they are not getting their e-mail alerts. Just thought I'd let you know.
Again thank you for enlightening me.
