Hi guys I've had a free forum on my website for years now and love it, but this morinign it seems to have been hijacked and US Google AdSense is posting Adverts all over my forum topics?
Any clues, there are no new members on members list and no options to delete the messages. I have kids use the forum and its all members only, but getting ads for bras etc that maybe they shouldn't be clicking on.
I understand free forums have adverts but is it normal to have them inbetween my posts???

Free forums have been supported for the last year without any revenue coming in from them. If you see inappropriate ads take a screenshot and post it here.

Ok Like the ad inbetween our posts, like I said it started yesterday. If I can get rid of them I'd love to. I have even tried the "Go Ad Free" button but non of the CAPTCHA boxes are working and I can't submit my form, keep comming back error?

You cannot sign up to remove the ads at the moment but its next on my to do list. I need to change the way it works so it might take a while to do. I also plan to start offering free forums again.

I guess I do not mind the google ads so much. It is understandable to want some form of return on the free forums. But today I noticed a most annoying feature that I have seen at other forums. I do not know what it is called it is makes certain words appear as links in a post. Is there anyways to turn this feature off? If there is not, then is it possible to change the link color to something easier to read? The words that are showing up as links are a light blue that is very hard to see with the colors I have set. I have tried making adjustments under the admin controls but I cannot seem to find a control that effects these new link-words. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

They are not ours. More than likely you have some malware that has hijacked your browser.

Install the free version of Malware Bytes and see if it works - You must be logged in to see this link.

It could also be caused by a browser plugin/extension.

Yep, must have picked it up yesterday. Already using Malwarebytes, just hadn't run it in the last week. That got rid of it though. Thanks for the help.
