Today, I had 2 members post replies to 2 different threads. If you look at the count on the Topic list, it shows 1 reply, but when you click on that thread, it only shows the original post. These appeared to happen in the early afternood today (7/16). Tonight, I posted replies to each tread via Quick & regular Reply button, and the replies posted and the count numbers increased. I deleted the reply, and the count would go back down to 1 and the reply would be deleted. The only post in the thread was the original post.
