I tried a search here on what "locking" a member does. How is it different than deleting a member? It sounds like it does practically the same thing, but their name continues to be seen, but they just can't post; instead of N/A appearing?

Is there more to it than I stated or am I wrong in some respect?

If you lock then out, they can't post. If you delete them, they can just sign up again using the same email address with another username, and cause problems again.
The difference is them having to use a different email address to confirm their new registration.

If you are having trouble with a member it is best to "Lock" their membership, than it is to delete the member.
