Ok, never mind I found the reply to someone else. It might be a firewall issue. But the bottom line is that people aren't going to deactivate their firewalls to register on a forum. It's not even the firewall on my computer that's activated, it's my router's firewall. Most people don't even know that their router has a firewall never mind how to deactivate it! I think i'm going to find another website to host my forum. Thanks anyway.
If you visit the forum page - You must be logged in to see this link. and try to register for it it will bring up the terms of the forum and such which has an "accept" button at the bottom.
When you hit the accept button nothing happens.
I read someone else's post on this support forum about the same problem which said it's probably a firewall issue (or a java issue, which I checked), and although my computer doesn't have a firewall, my router does. So when I tried to register my hubby to see what this person was talking about when I hit "accept" it didn't do anything for me either.
No, as I stated in my previous post, the people who would even consider registering for my forum probably don't even know that their router could have a firewall let alone how they would go about deactivating it.
Registering should be a quick and easy process to encourage people to join not something that will make people say "Forget it! It's not worth all the trouble."
I simply set up a new forum on another site and will deactivate my site on this board. I figured I would wait to hear back from you first before deleting my board in case you had any other suggestions other than the firewall issue.
