I intend to add an event calendar to all forums sometime in February hopefully. I haven't decided the order yet but I intend to do two other things early this year.

1. Upgrade the database server (not that it needs it that badly, its mainly for extra storage)
2. Delete all the unused forums where there have been no posts. This kind of thing - You must be logged in to see this link.

I need to formulate a policy of deleting forums regurlarly. What do y'all think of this....

1. No posts in 6 months
2. ForumCo sends you an email telling you that your forum will be deleted in one months time
3. No posts to your forum in one month
4. ForumCo sends you an email telling you that your forum will be deleted in one weeks time
5. No posts to your forum in one week
6. ForumCo sends you an email telling you that your forum has been deleted
7. The forum goes to the Recycle Bin in the sky and we all live happily ever after

Sounds fair enough to me ... though I would consider 3 months as a good enough time span for a first email

Ample I would have thought. It gives the forum Admin time to get back to you if there are any special circumstances that you need to take into consideration.

sounds fair to me!
our board is quite active so it won't be an issue for us, but if no one was using it for six months...then what's the point of having it?

padraic...i look forward to the calendar and will let my members know it will be coming.
thanks!

fair enough terms, six months is ample time for one, since its like essentially like 7 months your giving:P. aswell as a year is more than enough time, unless the admin has been living under a rock for a year, they should be able to post at least once.
