I see guest users yet i see no place for a "guest" to log in. How is this done ans by who?

What is your forum url?

Guests are visitors who are not logged in.

There are certain pages which can be viewed by guests i.e. You must be logged in to see this link.

Just because a guest is on your forum does not mean they can view a particulr page i.e. if a visitor lands on your topic.asp page the forum may report that the visitor is on topic.asp however it does not mean that they are viewing a topic, it means that they are either redirected to login or shown an error telling them that they need to login. It depends on how your forum is setup.
