One of our members is experiencing a strange log in problem.

His first e-mail to me:
quote:
I have not been able to log on for the last few days. Is there a problem? When I put in my name and password it comes up accepted but then flips to sign in window again?

Cyrus

His second in reply
quote:
My user name is cyrus. When I sign in it tells me I am signed in then the sign in stuff pops up on the top right side again. It's like my sign in is accepted then rejected? Still same problem this morning. I got signed in yesterday by going to my profile and next thing I knew I was in.

I will try going through my profile again.

Cyrus

I am not sure what he is experiencing, so I don't know what to tell him. I don't get any pop ups.

Sorry to be a bother but this one has me perplexed.

Ask him if the time / date / year is set correctly on his computer and if cookies are enabled.

Will do Padraic and thank you. You know many of our members are computer challenged.

That is exactly what was happening. I will try and store this solution in the old memory bank of mine for future use. Unfortunately that would "try" is the operative term. Seems the older I get the less that stays in that memory bank.

The time / date thing caught me out once. Drove me mad for at least an hour, then I copped on what was happening. Never happened again after that.
