My name is Tara, I recently created my own forum. I would like to know if all traces of Forumco's Name will be removed from my member's forum after I upgarde to paid status. I would like the name removed from my member's registration emails and the bottom of my forum. May be there is some way I can do this myself, if so please advise. I have emailed this question to the help desk but had not gotten a response yet.
There were a few things you mentioned in your helpdesk ticket which I have to look into further.
A paid forum is exactly the same as a free forum only without the advertising. The only way to hide the fact that your forum is hosted here is by using an iframe or frame. This will only fool newbies and web savvy users should know where its hosted.
Thank you for replying. When you said no advertising would be on the forum did you also mean this text "Powered by ForumCo 2000-2006 TOS - AUP - URA ForumCo Free Blogs and Galleries Signup for a free forum or Go Banner Free"
Is it possible to remove the above text. I am currently using the iframe on my site, that is working out great
quote:Powered by ForumCo 2000-2006 TOS - AUP - URA
This is what appears at the bottom of paid forums (see the bottom of this one).
All users must abide by ForumCo's ToS, AUP and URA and must therefore be notified of them. The only way to do what you want to do is to either install your own forum on your website or for us to host a domain for you e.g. forums.yourdomain.com and setup a seperate website on our servers for your forums. The latter option is not likely to be cheap but I will look into it for you if you want.
