Is there a way to grant permissions to Forums, other than having to go into each and every Forum a new member is to have access to, seeing that they are available and then adding them to the Allowed List of that Forum?

In other words, is there a Member Management function that allows me to select a new member, then give them access to all of the Forums they are supposed to have access to?

Also, I had things set up so that a new member validates themself. The email process worked fine. I then changed it to where I have to approve a new member. On sign-up the new member was advised that they would receive an email when they are approved. I approved the new member, but no confirmation email was sent.

I've had this problem too, someone registers and they get no email. I asked if they looking in the spam file/box. Yes, they did, still no email.

Thanks Padraic!

Approve rather than activate their new account and they will receive the email.

What you are looking for is a way to group members together and then assign permissions to them. I'll look into it.
