Hi Padraic,

Some of my members are having a hard time logging into my forum. They are getting an error message that says something about gateway and server unreachable. Do you have any ideas what this could mean or what we can do to correct it.

Find out more information from them e.g. what browser they are using, what their i.p. address is, etc.

More than likely our firewall is blocking them for some reason.

One of the girls said she downloaded Netscape and she was able to get in. She was using IE, wonder what is up?

Can you ask her what her i.p. address is. I can find out the cause then.

I got your response. I think I managed to fix two problems because of it

Ask her to try to get banned again. If she is, ask her to note the i.p. address and I should have a record of why she was banned. There was no record of her last time but that could have been because her i.p. was different.

She was never banned! Not by me. That is weird, she is a good person and doesn't make probs, or do you mean the system banned her??

The firewall is banning her for 24 hours but I cannot find out why until it happens again and she tells you her i.p. address. The last i.p. you gave me wasn't listed.
