Hi,

Is it possible for anyone who has posted an update to a Topic to be able to get an email notification if someone else posts a reply to that topic ?

I've had a look through the Forum config setup and I can't see anything obvious that allows for this to happen.

Subscriptions is what you are looking for. Enable subscriptions the "Feature Configuration" in the admin area.
Go to the main page of your forum and edit the category you want to allow subscriptions in. Then edit the forum
you want to allow subscriptions in.

There are various levels you can set. I'm going to do a tutorial today if you want to hang on for a few hours.
