You cannot add that mod for two reasons.
1. You don't have ftp access so you cannot alter the forum files. 2. Some of the options given in the mod don't agree with our terms of service.
If you want to have it added I can look at it for the next update but it would have to be changed in order to cater for the Terms of Service.

yes, please. This is a great Modification I think. The Rules should be stated in the Forum.
Also, I think you should have a Admin Level.
Like an Global Admin, Admin, Super-Admin, and The Forum Admin.
The Forum Admin Being the Admin that is in charge of everything.
The Super-Admin in charge of The Admin and Global Admin. The Super-Admin being able to do everything that the Forum Admin can except e-mailing people in bulk.
The Admin being able to change all topics and forums, also being able to change member acounts except the Super-Admin and The Forum Admins acounts.
The Global Admin just being able to change the Forum categorys and Topics.
That is just another suggestion.
Thank you. |

Correct, I think it would help.
Yes, Admin and Super Admin are already there, but you can't have an Admin That is able to edit other peoples accounts alone without the Admin privlage of going to the Admin options. If you understand what im talking about. |

I can understand why you feel you need other types of admin but believe me its not worth it. You really only need one who does maintenance every so often. You won'tusually need to change the forum descriptions, email all users or edit peoples profiles every day.
Over the last 5 1/2 years everytime a forum has been hacked it has been because of a weak admin password. If you have two admins instead of one it doubles the chances of someone guessing an admin password. I wouldn't feel comfortable either having forum admins being able to assign permissions to edit other members profiles.
When admins go bad ---------------------- There have been a few cases in the past where superadmins or admins have had a disagreement with each other or admins or members and destroyed forums in retaliation. Bear in mind that on a forum it isn't the same as meeting someone face to face. You usually never get to meet your fellow forum users in person. They could be psycho in real life.
I'll will consider it for the next version but I cannot promise anything. |
