I logged on today and the forum count is like half there? I have not done any pruning or work on my forum in a long while and I'm the only Admin?
Is this a glitch or did u guys go threw and prune up server space?
It seems like all the post from yesterday and what not are there...There just not showing up in the count for some reason?
Any ideas? I been trying very hard the last year to get my forum back on its feet after something like this happened before (which was my fault..) I was just wondering what you all thought on what has happened...
I dont think it is a mod, cause some mods cant touch those forums?
I think the only thing I did was update the forum count and I dont think that would have effected it in this way? or would it have?
Any info or help to solve this situation would be great!

I had an announcement on the old Support forums about this but it was lost when we lost the support forums database.
We performed pruning on all free forums to improve server response times. It also freed up a lot of space. Posts not replied to in 4 months were deleted.
At the same time we deleted members that hadn't posted ever to free up those usernames and to further increase performance.
I'm working on implementing a few new features as a result of the increase, I hope to have at least one by early next week.

Sorry to keep spamming on this thread, but I was wondering if you could bring back some of the post on my forum? If they are gone they are gone, but I just wanted them cause people frown on all their time being wasted and trying to make a hi count forum...Would u post at a forum with 500 post or would a 2000 post forum be a lil more apealing?.....

Regarding your last question; Would u post at a forum with 500 post or would a 2000 post forum be a lil more apealing?
In my opinion it is the quality that counts not the quantity. What is the point of joining a discussion forum full of trolls and no good discussion where you dont really get an answer or talk about what you are interested in. Unless of course all you want to do is to troll.

I would only post if I had something to say about the topic.
The old posts are gone to the big bit bucket in the sky.
Color Templates is the first new feature to come (for ALL forums) and then......

Leon -- My forum has a very high quality...:-) See I run and independt hip hop site...So people come on there and post audios, text verses and poetry and then other people reply to them with crit and so on.....So people visit it religously and in a sense we are always looking for new tallent and want people to join and when they visit and see we have nothing and there are forums out there with thousands of post they skip us by....So in a way having the high forum count attracts more people in the hobby I am in.
--Like I said no biggy...We'll just rebuild again and so on.....
Humm...at color templates....What would that involve or will you not tell us...

Colour templates, are pre-set colour schemes for your forums.
Welcome back to the forums, and good luck building your forum back up. |

I don't think it's user selectable, I'm pretty sure its just an option that makes it easier for admins to change the main colour scheme.
Could be wrong, but thats how I remember it.
