hello I'm new to the message board thing
I wan't to add them to my site but don't have a clue as how to go about it can one of you help me?

First, goto:

Admin Options --> Member Details Configuration

and make sure that Picture is set to On.

Then you just need to edit your profile and choose the location to your picture in your Picture URL.
