Can someone tell me why the server was down yesterday (15/10/12) as we had an important message to give from our club and nobody got it because the server was down. Did anybody else have this problem as our members are not very happy

There was a sustained attack from a Chinese ip address that resulted in 60 second page loads. There was about 10 mins of downtime until we managed to block it.
